About MeI am Mme Stacey Duncan. I am a wife, mother of 2 sweet daughters and teacher to many students, past and present whom I will always call "my kids." Being a teacher has always been and always will be what I want to do with my life. I wanted the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others, to do my best to help children/tweens/teens become the best they can be. I started with babysitting, Sunday School and bible camp.

My Schooling |
My mom made the decision to place me in Early French Immersion, a grade 1 entry point at the time, the next community over. When I reached grade 9, she gave me the choice to stay in French Immersion or not, I chose to stay. After I graduated, I spent 2 years years at Université de Moncton before completing my Bachelor of Arts, - French Major (1996) followed by my Bachelor of Education - Elementary Level with a concentration in French Second Language Instruction (1998) at University of New Brunswick. After teaching for several years, I completed my Master's of Education - Mathematics k-14 (2012) at Concordia University, Portland Oregon - online campus. I am continually studying new concepts, new techniques, new methods to add to my teaching toolbox!

My Teaching History |
I did my practicum in a grade 6 classroom in the fall of 1997 and learned so much from my cooperating teacher. I began supply teaching in Jan 1998 before being hired as a learning associate between 2 schools for their foundation program in grade 9 from March to June. I was hired for my first long term maternity leave, grade 6, in the fall of 1998 until March Break. I returned to the same school for another long term position in grade 8. I accepted a D contract for the following year teaching Core French to grade 8 and the rest is history. My students asked me in June what subjects I have taught - we discovered that I have now taught just about every subject spread out over grades 6-8, except Phys Ed.
